SO VERY FESTIVE

I’m getting the holiday spirit in full force. I spoke to my friend, Friend, and found out that she will be here for a nice chunk of time and I will be able to hang out with her as I have no work and I am incredibly excited about that. I also found out that friend Lakeiya is coming to town for a week or so as well. YEAH! I miss Lakeiya so much. Monica and I will have to do something fun with her. I feel all festive and warm and fuzzy thinking of their smiling faces.

Tony and I made reservations for New Years Dinner at MK, a swanky type spot. We opted for the earlier dinner seating because eating at 7 costs about 35 less than eating at eight although Tony was hoping for a slightly later meal. Oh well. We are only allowed 90min at the table before they kick us out but that is a pretty long dinner for the two of us. We are not slow eaters. We opted for MK because the samples of dinners on the prix fixe menu sounded yummy to Tony and they also have a vegetarian prix fixe option. Two years ago we went to The Green Zebra, a 90% vegetarian restaurant, for New Years (which was 100% vegetarian) I loved the food but Tony wanted some meat. This will work out well. Plus, Tony really wanted a reason to wear a suit. That means when we show up to Dave’s party we’ll be all swanky. That might suck as we head to the beach for fireworks…. Oh well, make it work. Awesome.

And now for something completely different, a very short and very hilarious video spot courtesy of “Tim and Eric Awesome Show Good Job”.

By the way Tim and Eric to have an awesome show and every time it is over I want to say, "good job". They have wonderful guests like Fred Willard, Bob Odenkirk, and John C Riley. They are on adult swim. You might like it.

I'm still not quite there yet but I think it has to do with not feeling well all last week and now worrying abount still having all that shopping to do. But I'll get there, it may not be until I'm at my parent's house on Sunday but I'll get there.

More than likely HD is going to get stuck working on New Year's Eve which means not doing anything for me. It's amazing that every year we invite all these friends and family to our home and not once have they ever invited us. We decided not do anything this year even if he doesn't work. So far we still haven't been invited anywhere and I doubt we will. As far as restaurants or bars go we never go to those, too crowded and expensive. Hope yours is fun.

The Green Zebra is a GREAT name for a vegetarian restaurant. I love it!

I love the NAME, that is... never been to the restaurant.
Not sure I could do the whole vegetarian thing. I'm a carnivore who is currently craving barbecued ribs.
Sorry about that.

Katrina- I agree it is totally expensive for a New Years dinner out but I figured it only happens once a year so why not. Even if it takes until Sunday to get in the spirit I know you will. I am sure being done with shopping helps me.

Janna- I don't mind carnivores at all but the Green Zebra usually has a fish or chicken dish to pacify meat eaters whose vegetarian friends drag them.

Now I've got that cold that is going around. Seems to be starting slowly...

For some reason, a restaurant named Zebra makes me think of meat. Not that I have had horsemeat or think of eating it.
