Everyone rush out to the grocery store, it’s time to “support our president”! Ben and Jerry’s has released a new flavor entitled “Steven Colbert’s Americone Dream”. Not only will all proceeds be donated (although I wonder who they are being donated to), but the ice cream looks delicious. We have vanilla ice cream with fudge covered waffle cone bits and a caramel swirl. Sounds pretty good to me. However, I was hoping that in the spirit of patriotism they would go for a red white and blue flavor and instinctively reissue Kaberry Kaboom under a new name. For those of you who don’t remember, and many don’t because the flavor didn’t last too long, Kaberry Kaboom featured Strawberry and Blueberry ice creams, white fudge covered cracklin' candy (yes they mean pop rocks) and a blueberry swirl. The flavor was released in 2001 and was created with a company called KaBoom that built children’s playgrounds and, although it only was around until 2003, helped to fund eight playground developments. I had no idea that Kaberry Kaboom was for a good cause, I simply thought it was delicious. It came in second place in a discontinued flavor contest (I believe Wavy Gravy was the winner combining caramel and cashew brazil nut ice cream with a chocolate hazelnut fudge swirl and roasted almonds, not so bad I guess) and didn’t get reissued. I still have fond flavors of this ice cream kabooming in my mouth.
And now for something completely different.
I have been collecting my favorite Statcounter searches for the past week and now feel that I have a decent list to share with you, the reader. Now these searches didn’t always put my page at the top of the list, but they just tickled me pink and hope they do for you as well.
Someone in California apparently goggled something about their own history and wanted to see if anyone else shared their experiences so they looked up “I am thirty six and have been spanked all my life”. A concerned health nut from Oregon was looking for a way to “only eat brown rice and vegetables”. We have some poor soul in Louisiana who was curious about people “mispronouncing Barack Obama”. Maybe they just didn’t know how to say it? A dog owner feed up with poop in Ohio was looking for “the best way to pick up dog poop after snow melts”. Someone in Sweden was curious about “swimsuit shoulder pads you tube” and somehow ended up at my page. I admit I am pretty confused by that one. A Wilson lover in my own home state wanted to know “Owen Wilson nose number of times,” for the record, I don’t know how many times Owen Wilson nosed. Then we have a curious bloke from Bristol, England who wanted to know “Do black people love chicken?” followed directly by someone seeking friends in Massachusetts with a thoughtful plea “we all black people we all love chicken”. I’m really missing out with this Black vegetarian thing I suppose. At least I love some watermelon. Wait, that was inappropriate. Oh well. I do like watermelon.
It’s time for another installment of Guess That Song (thunderous applause)

Those googles are very strange indeed. I always wonder about the motivation behind googling. I've also discovered some sickos who come across my page, googling things I'd rather not share.
3. Tori Amos' A Sorta Fairytale. I love that song.
Wow, a song I actually know - #5 is Billy Joel's Just the Way You Are.
#4 is from Jesus Christ Superstar, and is either "The Arrest" or "Superstar" sung by everybody's favorite traitor, Judas Iscariot.
Did I tell you that the former lead singer of Living Color played Judas here in Cleveland? He was awesome!
Aw, the only two I knew were already guessed. Where do you get the stats about what google searches come to your site?
Wow...all those ice cream flavours sound absolutely tantalising! Maybe it's cuz I'm craving something creamy and cold right now....
I would like to be encouraging with the ice cream...but its -39C
I'm not even going to bother trying to make that into F.
I'll totally buy that Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I'd probably vote for Colbert in '08 too. Beats the hell out of the other stiffs who will be running.
you know i'd be all over the colbert ice cream if it didn't have those damned cones in it...!
damn gluten.
i hate it when the only songs i know here are already guessed by others..! hi, i'm old.
I read about that ice cream. It definitely sounds Colbertlicious. It is fun to read the stat searches, ins't it? Feel sorry for the spanked grown up though...
;-)
Chunky Monkey was my standing favourite at Ben & Jerry's until they released that unbelievable oatmeal raisin cookie, have you had it?
Oh and, sorry to talk to another blogger here that isn't Natalie, but Mrs. Loquacious, if you have a blog please send it to me via http://memoirsofafatgirl.blogspot.com, I've been trying to link you forever but for some reason your blog is near impossible to get to!
#1 - (For God's Sake) Give More Power To The People, The Chi-Lites, from that Black Power CD I got you. I recognized right away where the song came from, but I must admit that the title and group were not exactly on the tip of my tongue...
Some of the search terms you got made me giggle, especially swimsuit shoulder pads. And I laughed out loud at your comment regarding Owen Wilson nosing.
I remember getting "what is Lizza." I hope that he or she lets me know when they find out. I'd like to know the answer, too.
vanilla ice cream with fudge covered waffle cone bits and a caramel swirl?? OMG i'm running to get it NOW~
Eve- I haven't had anything too strange...yet.
Jeff, Good guessing. I have a pretty wide variety so I figure there will be something everyone knows eventually.
Jaclyn- Vernon Reed was Judas?? I was jealous before but it has reached a new level now.
CSL- I use statcounter because it's free and was the first one I googled. You just paste some code on your blog and have another huge time waster on your hands.
Mrs. L- They are all delicious. Creamy cravings or no.
Notfearing- Stop walking home in that mess. I am scared for you
Shouldbe- I'd vote for him too. He's dreamy.
Terry- At least you found that beer. Beer is good.
Michael C- I felt a little bad for them too. Maybe they were looking for a support group. They got none of that here.
With Love- Oh my gosh it is so good. You should feel free to talk to other bloggers, it's a fun happy thing.
Mom- Good figuring it out. I thought since the title was the first line of the song it wouldn't be that hard.
Lizza- Yeah, who puts shoulder pads in a swimsuit?
Uncommonly- Yeah I want some too. Those are a few of my favorite things.
